A violet droplet of Amethyst sits in a pool of silver in this dual band ring. The Amethyst gemstone sits in a pool of silver created by making a small hammered texture frame around the top of the ring and then darkening the inside near the stone to a lovely graphite patina. The unique band is created with two narrow square bands that are given a complimentary texture and then spilt to hold the top of the ring, making it a light and comfortable piece to wear
This piece is made with Argentium silver. This unique silver alloy is marked .935 (regular sterling is only .925) This means it contains more fine silver than sterling but also has better strength and durability than fine silver. The really special thing about this alloy of silver is that it is much more resistant to tarnish than sterling silver and is made from all recycled or ethically obtained sources.
